1st Halloween

We had our first kiddie halloween celebration this weekend. Our neighborhood has a Halloween parade every year so we decided to check it out. Julie and Tim and the kids came over as well as our friends Julie and Jeremy and their baby girl Henna. It was so fun! There were tons of people there and we all marched down the street for a couple blocks and then back up to Lula restaurant that provided cookies and cider. Henry was not loving the gnome beard but he tolerated the rest of the costume:)

New toy

I let Henry "open" his birthday gift from Baba and it is a hit! He loves pulling himself up to standing all the time now so this is a perfect toy to occupy his attention.

just look at that little butt!

Garfield Park Conservatory

We took a trip to one of my favorite places in the city this weekend, the Garfield Park Conservatory. I'm looking forward to heading here this Winter to get some fresh air.

11 months!

Henry did not want to sit in the chair and have his photo taken this month, those days are over! These are the best I could get in the 30 seconds that he sat still:)

Pete and Missy's wedding

Our friends Pete and Missy got married a few weeks ago near Starved Rock. I've never been to that part of the state, so pretty! Missy's family owns a vineyard where the wedding was held. It was threatening rain but stayed clear for the outdoor ceremony. It was so great to see them get married (after dating for 7 years!) and to see Katie and Bob from L.A. and other old friends. It was also our first night away from Henry. Big thanks to Beth and Rick for having a sleepover with him at our place! It was really nice to get away but by the end of the night we were all looking at photos of our kids on our phones:)

Hayward 2013

We went on our annual trip to Hayward, WI in September. It was Henry's first time (not counting when I was pregnant) and he was a trooper in the car. It's about 7 or 8 hours away so a loooong time in the car. Here are a bunch of photos:
